Rudolf Firkusny Piano Recital - Olga Scheps
- 24. 11. 2016
flat major Op. 83
Alfred Brendel discovered her talent, so it is thanks to him that the six-year-old girl who left Moscow with her family to settle in Cologne has become a pianist who is now giving concerts in Europe’s most prestigious concert halls: the Berliner Philharmonie, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, Cadogan Hall in London, and the Tonhalle Zürich. Her 2010 debut “Chopin” CD on the Sony Classical label immediately won the ECHO Klassik award. Her most recent album titled Vocalise placed among the top three recordings on the Classical Music Charts in Germany. Describing one of her performances, the newspaper Berliner Tagesspiegel wrote: “Emotions in Cinemascope, a rush of sound with bittersweet undertones.” What will her Prague recital be like?
