Glenn Hughes (UK) + Living Colour (US)
- 23. 11. 2016
The famous rock stars are setting off on the joint tour with their only Czech stop at MeetFactory.
For rock fans, it will certainly be one of the events of the year. Glenn Hughes, one of the most famous singers in rock history, whose voice adorns, for example, essential albums by Deep Purple or Black Sabbath’s recordings, is setting off for a world tour with Living Colour, the pioneers of black funk and metal. And we can also meet them in Prague! Their only Czech stop is scheduled for November 23 at the Meet Factory.
Glenn Hughes attracted attention in April this year by being inducted, together with Deep Purple, into the prestigious Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in America. But his current career is not built on nostalgia, despite the fact that this great singer and bassist featured in such hard rock legends as Black Sabbath or Trapeze. Hughes still records great rock albums with a contemporary sound, being in touch with Chad Smith and Dave Navarro of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains or Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake and other personalities of that kind. In the projects, the Black Country Communion, he joined forces with guitarist Joe Bonamassa and drummer Jason Bonham.
Living Colour are one of the most iconic bands of the ’nineties, and established the crossover genre with their funk-metal music. Their original mix of disparate musical styles charmed Mick Jagger, who helped them at the beginning and took them on a tour with the Rolling Stones. Their debut album Vivid sold more than two million copies and won a Grammy for its smash hit Cult of Personality.
