Gerhard Richter: A Survey
- 26. 4. 2017 – 3. 9. 2017
With the planned spring 2017 exhibition of German artist Gerhard Richter (born 1932), who is often referred to as "the greatest living painter" and one of the most significant artists of the last quarter century, the National Gallery in Prague in cooperation with the German Embassy Prague and the Goethe Institute Prague are proud to present in the framework of the 2017 Czech-German Cultural Spring, a comprehensive full span and medium scale retrospective of the artist for the first time in Central Europe. Having an exceptional and renowned curator at the helm - distinguished scholar of Richter’s work, 52nd Venice Biennale curator, Dean of Yale School of Arts and long-time acquaintance of the artist, Robert Storr - offers a truly unique quality to the exhibition.
