Olivier Adam: Daughters of Buddha
- 19. 10. 2016 – 15. 3. 2017
The photographer Olivier Adam with his wife, the journalist Dominique Butet, have documented buddhist nuns in the Himalayas for more than eight year. In 1987, it was founded the Tibetian Nuns Project, which provides education and humanitarian aid for Tibetian Nuns in India. For the first time in the history, in December 2016, twenty nuns will receive the Geshema degree, equivalent to a Doctorate in Buddhist philosophy. It enables them to teach in women monasteries. The ceremony will be attended by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, who supports the equality in Buddhism.
