Merkur Play Area is a place, where children and adults have fun, learn and relax. In 1925, the Merkur Construction Kit was firstly made in Police nad Metují and it is still manufactured here. Firstly, it was considered to be a luxurious kit, further on it gained more and more popularity, thanks to the unlimited options for construction of new solutions and development of technical skills. The chemist Otto Wichterle invented lenses just thanks to this kit.
In the play area, there are put on display the models of mining and metallurgical machines. Children can not only use the Merkur Construction Kit, but also play an interactive mining computer game. The youngest can look forward to building a wall and watching bed-time stories.
