Daisy Mrázková is one of the distinguished illustrators, painters and writers. She entered the profession as early as the late 1950s, and her author/illustrator debut Don’t Cry, Mushroom was published in 1965. Her stories often feature animal heroes adopting children’s character traits. Her books are loved by children because she succeeded, by a simple story-telling, portraying of big topics: friendship, sadness, loneliness, goodness, happiness, care for little things, which adults usually pay no attention to and through intimate little stories and motives she showed all that: a newly found teddy bear who needs being taken care of, etc. Many of her books were published also abroad.
At the exhibition visitors can see original illustrations and large-format paintings. The accompanying programme will feature guided tours and workshops for children.
