Art from the Rudolfine Era to the Baroque in Bohemia
The sculptural part of the exhibition is installed in the ground floor. Here you will also find a paintings and sculpture “sketcharium,” offering insight into Baroque workshop studio practices. On the first and second floors of the palace, works by the most important artists are presented, ranging from the late Renaissance to the late 18th century. The key personalities Karel Škreta and Petr Brandl been allocated prestigious rooms of the palace.
The basement houses a permanent exhibition of Art from the Rudolfine Era to the Baroque in Bohemia, presenting the artistic craftsmanship of the Central European cultural space of mannerism turn of the 16th and 17th centuries to classicism.
Under the unique Baroque roof trusses, an exhibition of the most valuable historical weapons from the 15th to the 19th century from the collections of the Military History Institute called Imperial Armory.
