The main topics of the exhibition "Jewish Customs and Traditions / The Course of Life: Illness and Death, Part 2." Each sub-theme is accompanied by images from a unique series of the Prague Burial Society from the 1880s. In the main hall, the assistance given by the Society to the sick and dying is described and shown, the ritual washing of the dead and funeral ceremonies. In the next room, the focus is on the issue of Jewish cemeteries and tombstones. Exhibited here for example are fragments of tombstones from the 14th century and a wooden tombstone from 1836. Additional space is reserved for commemorative prayers for the dead and engravings and paintings depicting the old Jewish cemetery in Prague. The room on the floor above the stairs is dedicated to the organization, the inner life and external representation of burial societies.
