Wine grown on the historical Grébovka vineyard in Vinohrady has been very successful lately. One of the local varieties, Pinot Gris 2014, became the best Czech wine at the National Wine Competition, where tasters evaluated 85 domestic wines from 2014 and older. Wine from Grébovka won as unrivaled thanks to its balanced taste and smell, but also its first-class golden yellow colour.
Currently seven varieties are grown: Müller Thurgau, Rhine Riesling, Hibernal, Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Neronet and Pinot Gris. And it was the Pinot Gris 2014 that has become not only the champion, but also the winner of Category A for dry and semi-dry white wines in the National Wine Competition held under the auspices of the Union of Winemakers of the Czech Republic.
In 2013 two other wines from Grébovka vineyard were awarded - the Hibernal variety won the gold medal and Neronet and Pinot Noir won the silver one.
