The statue of Hercules and four pairs of bronze statues of Gods and horses were created by a significant Dutch sculptor Adrian de Vries (1545 - 1626), who lived under the reign of Rudolph II. in the Lesser Town. The original statues were carried away by the Swedes in 1648 as war booty. Nowadays they are placed in the Museum of Adrian de Vries in Sweden.
