Smaltum
This family-owned company uses traditional materials, which has been used to make practical, utilitarian enamelled objects for centuries. It was founded by a brother and sister - the Novotnýs - in 1998. He manages the company, she designs...mugs, teapots, and delicate pendant earrings. Cheerful, colourful enamelled mugs for kids and adults alike are designed for everyday use, and can even be washed in the dishwasher. At the same address, you will also find Smaltérie – the only studio in the Czech Republic where you can create your own enamel work which will be immediately fired and which you can take at home as an original (self)-made souvenir from Prague.
