Competition rules

  1. The "WIN TICKETS AND A WEEKEND STAY" contest (hereinafter the "Contest") is organized by Pražská informační služba - Prague City Tourism with registered office at Arbesovo nám. 70/4, 150 00 Praha 5, ID: 00064491 (hereinafter "Organizer").
  2. 2. The Contest is open to every citizen over 18 who, in the period from 15 December 2016 to 25 December 2016, submits correct answers to the contest questions published at www.prague.eu and fills out the contest form with the reason why s/he should be the winner of the contest at the same time. There is only one correct answer to each question. Contestants must fill in the contest form and tick only one correct answer to each of the competition questions. They must also enter their name, e-mail, phone number and accept the terms and conditions of the contest before submitting the form. The contestants take responsibility for the accuracy of their contact details (such as e-mail and phone number) put in the contest form. The completed contest forms may be submitted from 15 December 2016, 23:00 p.m. to 25 December 2016, 23:00 Central European Time (GMT+1). The forms will be stored and sorted in the order they were received.
  3. Only one answer may be sent from one e-mail address and one phone number. Contestants can take part in the contest only once otherwise they will be disqualified from the competition.
  4. The competition is not open to Prague City Tourism employees or their family members or employees of the partner company, Havas Prague, or their family members.
  5. Contestants who meet the specified Terms and Conditions to the full will be accepted in the contest. The Organizer of the contest has the right to make the final assessment of whether the individual contestants meet the Terms and Conditions of the contest.
  6. Persons who fail to meet the Terms and Conditions for participation in the contest or who would act in violation of the rules will not be accepted. If it turns out that such a person notwithstanding the above has become the winner, e.g. due to false information he or she provided, he or she is not entitled to the prize.
  7. The contestant whose entry, including an answer specifying why s/he should win the prize, are received as entry No. 333 and are subsequently deemed correct, wins. If entry No. 333 is incorrect, the next following correct entry is declared as winning. In the event that fewer than 333 entries are received, entry No. 111 wins if correct; if incorrect, the next following correct entry wins. If fewer than 111 entries are received, the prize is not awarded and the contest is cancelled.
  8. The winner will receive two return tickets in economy class departing from the international airport closest to winner's residence determined by the contest Organizer (the Organizer reserves this right of choice) plus 3 nights in a double room in a four-star hotel in Prague, plus two three-day Prague Card city passes.
  9. The winner will be contacted by the Organizer using the e-mail address indicated in the form and verified also by phone.
  10. If the winner fails to confirm the winning e-mail and receipt of the prize by 20 January 2017, the title to the prize expires and the prize forfeits to the Organizer.
  11. Neither participation in the contest nor the prize can be enforced by legal means or alternatively paid in cash.
  12. The contestants participating in the contest further agree with entering all their personal details provided (hereinafter referred to as "Data") in the database of the Organizer, Prague City Tourism (the administrator), and its subsequent processing for marketing purposes of the Organizer, i.e. to offer products and services, including sending information about organized events, products and other activities, as well as sending commercial messages by electronic means pursuant to Act no. 480/2004 Coll., for a period until the consent is withdrawn (for a maximum of 10 years), while other details can be assigned to the data. They acknowledge having the rights under Sections 11, 21 of Act. No. 101/2000 Coll. on the protection of personal data and amending certain laws, i.e. in particular that the provision of data is voluntary, that they can withdraw their consent at the Organizer's address free of charge at any time, that they have the right to access and correct their personal data, block and delete inaccurate personal data etc. Should there be any doubt whether the rights are upheld by the administrator, a contestant can contact the Organizer or directly the Office for Personal Data Protection with registered office at Pplk. Sochora 27, Prague 7.
  13. The Organizer is not responsible for any technical error during the sending or processing an e-mail response to the questions and has the right of final decision in all matters of the contest, including its termination. The Organizer is authorized to change these rules, the prize structure or value thereof, or completely cancel the contest without any reason and/or set a replacement prize at any time by publishing such changes on www.prague.eu.
  14. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for any prize forfeiture due to a failure to meet the Terms and Conditions on the part of the winner or his/her accompanying persons.
  15. These rules are valid and effective from 15 December 2016.
  16. The winner is responsible for having all travel documents, including visas for himself or herself and the accompanying person, and for paying all expenses related to the journey except for the price of the tickets and hotel accommodation. The winner also acknowledges that the Organizer does not compensate the winner and his or her accompanying person for any additional costs associated with the journey.
  17. The Organizer reserves the right to determine the place of departure and the departure date.
  18. All the answers received from 15 December 2016, 23:00 p.m. to 25 December 2016, 23:00. CET (GMT+1) will be included in the contest.
  19. The journey of the winner and his or her accompanying person must take place in the period from 1 February 2017 to 20 December 2017 (the Organizer reserves the right to change the set final date).
  20. The Organizer will name the winner no later than 15 January 2017 and the results will subsequently be published on the Facebook profile of Prague.eu and the Organizer’s website www.prague.eu.
  21. The winner participating in the contest agrees to the publication of his/her name, surname and address at the Facebook profile of Prague.eu and the Organizer’s website www.prague.eu.

Terms of the winning tickets:

  1. 1. The contest prize consists of two economy class return tickets departing from the international airport closest to winner's residence determined by the contest Organizer (the Organizer reserves this right of choice) plus 3 nights in a double room a four-star hotel in Prague selected by the Organizer, plus two three-day Prague Card city passes.
  2. The tickets must be issued for the winner + one person selected by the winner (hereinafter "accompanying person") by 31 May 2017 at the latest and they are subject to the transport Terms and Conditions of the designated carrier. The Organizer is not liable for any delays, canceled flights etc.
  3. The winning tickets cannot be transferred to other persons. Once issued, the tickets are unchangeable and non-refundable.
  4. In the event of a flight cancellation by the winner or the accompanying person for any reasons once tickets have been issued, the prize is forfeited and the winner or the accompanying person are not entitled to any compensation.
  5. The winner and the accompanying person have to obtain any visa required; the Organizer will not provide organizational or financial assistance in arranging thereof.
  6. Travel insurance is the responsibility of the winner and the accompanying person. The Organizer is not liable for any potential damages or medical expenses that may arise to the winner or the accompanying person during the journey or stay.
