Bělohorská pláň will once again turn into a huge battlefield. The audience will see a reconstruction of the historical event that became a turning point for the Czech lands in 1620. The clash between the armies of the Bohemian Estates on the one hand and the combined armies of the Catholic League and the Imperial Army on the other. Hundreds of soldiers from all over Europe, artillerymen or horse riders - all of them will come to Prague to take part in the largest reconstruction of a battle of the Thirty Years' War on the Czech territory. Pyrotechnic effects and cannon firings will sweep across the battlefield.

The event will also feature a historical marketplace and an accompanying programme for children and adults (fencing shows, historical troop training showcases, historical firearms lectures, juggling, musical performances and more).

Location: Bělohorská pláň near Hvězda
The grounds will open at 12:00. The battle re-enactment will start at 15:00.

Admission: adults 250 CZK, children 150 CZK, a ticket for the grandstand + 50 CZK.
Tickets can only be purchased at the official entrance.

The reconstruction of the Bílá Hora battle is organised by the association Bílá hora 1620 and is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe. The battle will be realised to resemble the real historical event as closely as possible. "The two-hour battle was rather quick due to its fast progress, but it proved to start a following revolt (the Estates´ Revolt) and decisively influenced the fate of the Czech state for the next 300 years. As a result, all people had to convert to the Catholic faith or leave Bohemia. Many people fled across the borders and 27 Czech lords ended up executed. We are trying to show the battle in a way that resembles the real historical event as much as possible," says Martin Cholinský, the organiser of the event.
