Don’t miss:

The ŠKODA Museum
třída Václava Klementa 294, Mladá Boleslav    museum.skoda-auto.cz
Undoubtedly the city’s prime tourist attraction. Visitors get acquainted with the history of the car company, one of the longest-established in the world, but the main draw is a unique collection of cars of the Laurin & Klement and ŠKODA marques. In addition to historical cars, there are sports versions and prototypes on display here.

The Metoděj Vlach Aviation Museum
Regnerova 114, Mladá Boleslav    lmmv.cz
Mladá Boleslav is known mainly for its cars, but few realize that the first Czech airplane was assembled here. It was built by Metoděj Vlach and the museum is named after him. In addition to the static exhibits, the museum has plenty of technology at its disposal that visitors get to see in operation, on various air-show days and other events.

The Old Town
The centre of the historic part of the city is the Old Town Square with its Renaissance Town Hall, Marian Column and the Church of the Assumption. There are also several original houses with arcades on the square. Rounding off the space is a sizeable Renaissance castle, now the seat of the Regional Museum. Nearby is also the notable Gothic “Templ” city palace, where you will find an interesting archaeological exhibition. There are also several interesting Baroque and Renaissance churches and prayer rooms, an Art Nouveau theatre and some noted Functionalist buildings (The Industrial School, Masaryk’s house, etc.).

Jewish Cemetery
Pražská, Mladá Boleslav
One of the best-preserved Jewish cemeteries in the country, sloping down opposite the castle.
