Reading Rooms and Study Spaces

Are you preparing for a test or have an exam coming up, and don't know where to study undisturbed in Prague? There are plenty of nice places where you can enjoy your study time.

National Technical Library - NTK

A place that is especially value by students of the nearby universities. The National Technical Library is a modern building in the middle of the Dejvice university campus. After registration, students have unlimited access to the building and can use the space to study, in addition to borrowing books. There is of course a café that can make studying more pleasant. More information.

General reading room of the Klementinum
The premises of the National Library of the Czech Republic in the Klementinum building can serve very well for studying. The study room is located in the former refectory of the Jesuit college and its premises are reminiscent of libraries known from British or American universities. It is located on Mariánské náměstí and is open from Monday to Saturday. It is a very ancient building that has been used by students for centuries. More information.

 

Centre for Architecture and Urban Planning - CAMP
CAMP is located near Karlovo náměstí and Palackého náměstí. It serves mainly for lectures and exhibitions about Prague’s architecture and public space. There is also a café, whose quiet areas are ideal for studying. More information.

Scout Institute
Located next to the Old Town Hall, you will find many students using this space for study purposes. Moreover, the Scout Institute is an ideal place to meet friends. Despite the location, the price is not that high!More information.

Café Na Hollaru
There is a great café in the building of the Faculty of Social Sciences on Smetanovo nábřezí embankment near the National Theatre, which students have set up themselves. The location makes it a great place to study. More information.

Student Hub
Student Hub is located at Tržiště 13, a short walk from Malostranské náměstí. It is a co-study space for all high school and university students. Entrance is absolutely free and all you have to do is register. After that you can come and study anytime from Monday to Friday between 10 am and 7 pm. There is fast WiFi, a library, coffee and tea on site. More information.

Cafedu study room
Cafedu is known primarily as a crowded café where you almost always need a reservation. But not many people know that this place also offers its own quiet study room, which is open 24/7 and is located right across the street from the café. For students, a one-day entry costs 100 CZK. For a month, it costs 460 CZK and two drinks are included. Non-students can get access for 1,490 CZK for a month. It is located just above Wenceslas Square at Škrétova 490. More information.
