Únětice Brewery – take a look at a traditional Czech brewery in the charming ‘Quiet valley’

Brewing has a long tradition in Únětice, and beer has been brewed here for over 450 years. The local brewery was built in 1710, but paused after World War II. Traditional brewing restarted here in 2011.

Don’t miss:

Within the brewery grounds is also a brewery pub, which offers proper local craft beer and great Czech cuisine to go with it. On weekends from 12 noon there are regular tours of the brewery, either with or without a tasting of the local brew, as preferred. For safety reasons, tours are not suited for children under 5.

How to get here:

By bus #355 from the Dejvická stop to Na parcelách stop (about 23 minutes).

By train from Masaryk Station to Roztoky u Prahy station (about 21 minutes) and from there on foot to Únětice along the blue hiking trail (about 5 km, about 1 hour’s walk), which leads through a restful valley, against the flow of the Únětický stream.
