The art collections of the Roudnice branch of the Lobkowicz family belong to the oldest, largest and best preserved private collections of art and architecture in the Czech Republic. They document in breadth and depth the key aspects of cultural, social, political and economic life in Central Europe over the course of more than seven hundred years.
The collections include images by world-famous painters – such as Pieter Brueghel the elder and his sons, Canaletto, Bellotta, Cranach, Rubens, Velázquez and Veronese, as well as works of art from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, as well as collections of pottery and combat arms.
