The exhibition is mainly devoted to two significant events in the history of Prague –the Pentecostal Uprising in 1848, and the declaration of the independent Czechoslovak state on 28 October 1918. Furthermore, the exhibition will explore the transformation of Prague during the second half of the 19th century. Over several decades, Prague underwent remarkable modernisation, was surrounded by suburbs, it could boast public transport structure and important public buildings.
The exhibition will present Prague as a place where important historical events have happened, where decisions have been made and as a place that flourished in that time.
