Every four years the Prague Quadrennial showcases the best of Performance Design, Scenography and Theatre Architecture. The 2019 edition's theme is ‘The Golden Triga", a metaphor for the three stages of human life, from youth, to adulthood to the age of wisdom. From this metaphor three areas, inherent cyclical phases of the creative process, will be explored: Imagination, Transformation and Memory.
During this edition, you will see works by artists, professionals, and students from over 79 countries through more than 600 live performances, talks, presentations, masterclasses, and workshops, all selected from over 17,000 applications. Special guests at this year’s festival include illustrator Olivia Lomenech Gill, Italian opera director and scenographer Stefano Poda, and audiovisual artist Romain Tardy.
