At the beginning of the 1960s the western pop music found its way behind the Iron Curtain. Rock’n’roll and beat seemed to be heard from everywhere and these music genres had a strong impact on their listeners and the development of the social mood. Although the former establishment had proclaimed that the western culture is harmful, music-lovers did not stop adhering to these music genres and the former establishment had to incorporate them in the official cultural politics. Who from the Beatles used to play the guitar from Czechoslovakia? Do you think that Black Sabbath knew that one of their songs is about the Prague metro? Come and find out at the exhibition devoted to the development of music in Czechoslovakia in 1969-1989.
