Arcimboldo Gallery, Lázeňská 4, Praha 1 - Malá Strana, 118 00
- Wed 26. 6. 2019 – Sat 31. 8. 2019
The exhibition is inspired by the Calvin’s book which was released under the same name and which interfaces nine Baroque etchings of Rome by Giovanni Battista Piranesi with nine works created by contemporary Czech artists. Their works were inspired by urban space and one can say that they do not capture a certain city but display of what remains from them or spring to their surface. Visitors will see fragments, apocalyptic scenes, assemblages and impersonal areas.
