The exhibition features a selection of Pitín’s paintings and its visitors can also watch several films that accentuate some aspects of his painting style and reveal sources of his inspiration.
Daniel Pitín (1977) produces large, visually complex paintings, dense with imagery and subtle references to films and canonical works of art, and sometimes containing embedded bits of newspaper, lace, and paper towels. His works were showcased in numerous exhibitions at key galleries and museums, including the S|2 London and the National Gallery in Prague.
