Ecology versus politics. Can a tree become the subject of a heated political discussion?

Young theatre makers deal with the relation between the Hungarian nation and acacia. Black locust comes from North America, but, in the past three hundred years, it has become the symbol for a national tree and Viktor Orbán’s main weapon against the EU diktat, which aims to limit this tree’s negative effect on environment. The production of the young and successful Hungarian playwright shows a purely political post-factual theatre with a great deal of irony and satire.

Czech and English subtitles. The performance will be followed by the discussion with the production team.

Trafó, Budapest, Hungary.
