MBPFW introduces the work of meticulously selected designers from the Czech and Slovak Republics, who are going to reveal their 2020 collections. It has been held since 2010 and it is the largest fashion event in the Czech Republic and a part of the global family of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks. Every year, it is attended by important international personalities of the fashion industry, for example renowned shoemaker Jimmy Choo, long term CEO of Jean-Paul Gaultier Donald Potard, international press and buyers.

This time, the event will be held amidst the Baroque splendour of the Invalidovna. A professional committee, comprising representatives of fashion and life style magazines Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Czechoslovakia, Dolce Vita, fashion photographer Benedikt Renč, and MBPFW CEO Lukáš Loskot, has confirmed the greatest number of designers in MBPFW history, who will be presenting their fashion visions for the spring/summer 2020 season.

Apart from the two largest local fashion brands Blažek and Pietro Filipi, the Fashion Temple in Karlín will also host students of three Czech fashion design universities. As is tradition, we can look forward to students of the Studio of Fashion and Footwear Design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague and of Fashion Design Studio at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. There will also be newly invited students of the Department of Design at the Technical University of Liberec. An element of international confrontation will be introduced by students of the prestigious Bunka Fashion Graduate University from Japan. Fashion designer and tutor at UMPRUM Prague Liběna Rochová will present her work at MBPFW for the very first time. The team of designers also includes: Adam Kost, Dominika Kozáková, Daniela Pešková, Imreczeova, JAN CERNY, LAFORMELA, Lukáš Krnáč, Michael Kovacik, ODIVI, Petra Ptackova, Tereza Vu, Zoltán Tóth and Zuzana Kubíčková, Natalie Dufková, Jakub Patka, Martin Kohout, Michaela Hriňová (AiM), Vanda Janda, and stylish modular bags by NAUT.
