Havlíček Gardens (Grébovka - Havlíčkovy sady), Praha 2 - Vinohrady, 120 00
- Fri 21. 9. 2018 – Sat 22. 9. 2018
Prague has been going back to its ages-old wine-making traditions during the past decades. One of the restored vineyards where you can try wine in the city centre is the Grébovka vineyard on the steep slopes of Nuselský Valley. The varieties grown at Grebovka are Pinot gris, Mueller-Thurgau, Rhine Riesling, Dornfelder and Pinot noir and the produce is available right there at the vineyard. One of them, Pinot Gris 2014 won the best Czech wine at the National Wine Competition, at which tasters evaluated 85 domestic wines from 2014 and older.
Wines from this vineyard are popular thanks to their balanced taste and smell, but also its first-class golden yellow colour.
The festivities takes place in Havlíčkovy Park - Grébovka, boasting fountains, water cascades, statues and a charming grotto as well as great views at the city.
The main programme starts on Friday afternoon at náměstí Míru and continues on Saturday in Grébovka Park. You can look forward to 80 stalls with delicious wine, young wine, food and handicraft products.
