A true gastronomical experience is about more than just exquisite Czech cuisine: it’s also about atmosphere. Restaurant Smetana is located in a 17th century building whose construction was assigned by the Pacht family renowned for their interest in culture. Its interior is teeming with history. The building hosted Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Casanova, Bedřich Smetana, and Václav Havel. The high concentration of artist presence makes music resonate through the restaurant walls making it an integral part of the restaurant’s design. Where else but here, at Restaurant Smetana, can you be closer to music than while enjoying a wonderful meal, sitting on the bank of the Vltava River.
