Invalidovna
The extensive Baroque complex of the Invalidovna, located in Prague’s Karlín, was built between 1731 and 1737 to a design by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer. It served to house and care for the war-wounded, until the 1930s. The building was subsequently used as a museum and military archive. Although the Invalidovna was not built to its full planned extent, its completed part ranks among the largest Baroque premises not only in Prague, but across the Czech Republic.
