The picture gallery, whose foundations were laid in 1835, contains almost one and a half thousand paintings from the 14th to the 19th century. The collection is divided into several sections: Painting and sculpture 1300-1550; Rudolfine painting; Flemish painting; Italian painting; Central European painting of the 17th to19th centuries.
